Debuting the Verve in Europe does not a Europe-only car make. Ford will likely rebody this concept's underpinnings to display at a couple other big auto shows, including Detroit. The Verve is a handsome vehicle; handsome not being a typical word for cars so small.
Some good news for Verve lovers: it'll likely be Mazda 2-based. The 2 is one of the few cars in recent times to weigh less than its predecessor. Considering that its predecessor was a very small car, that bodes well. Light weight means higher economy, less unsprung weight (wheels, tires, brakes) and improved agility. If the car's gonna look good, it might as well be enjoyable to drive.
