Due to fuel tank filler tube inlet check valves (what a part name) which "may not fully close at the end of refueling", the 2005 Dodge Durango - 19,024 of them - will be undergoing a NHTSA Recall that should hit Durango mailboxes and phones in February.
Since this fuel tank filler tube inlet check valve fault could allow a little fuel to escape, Dodge dealers will be inspecting the fuel tank inlet check valve. Finding a sketchy example will mean a new fuel tank assembly for '05 Durangos.
